Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

The following expressions have the following meanings:


''Artist'' refers to Serena Aris and any member of her team she may work with.

''Client'' refers to the person or persons responsible for making the booking and may be referred to as “you” in these Terms and  Conditions.   

"Writing" includes email but does not include texts or other forms of electronic communication.

"Person" means the individual receiving makeup services.                                                                                                                                                         

2. Reservations & Deposits

To secure your date whether for a wedding or other event a non-refundable and transferable deposit is required. When booking, without this deposit your date will not be reserved, unless otherwise agreed by Serena Aris in writing.

​Booking confirmations will be sent via email to the person making the booking who will be presumed to be the Client unless otherwise agreed. This confirmation will be sent once the deposit has been received by Serena Aris. Once booking confirmation has been issued to you the date for your event is secure.

After the deposit has been paid, the numbers of persons that have been confirmed may only be increased or amended with the agreement of Serena Aris. Any increase in fee will have to take account of the change in the number of people and the amount of work involved and additional time and Artists required to provide the service agreed.

​ If the number of persons is reduced the final fee will be based on the numbers agreed at the time the deposit was paid. 

3. Payment

Full payment of the balance of the Fee is required on the day of the Event at the latest, the full Fee should be paid seven days prior, if possible.

​The deposit will be deducted from the final balance. Payment of the deposit confirms that you agree to the full terms and conditions for the services provided by Serena Aris.

4. Cancellations / Amendments

The client can cancel the event any time up to 14 days before the event by informing the Artist in writing.

Any cancellations made after this time will be subject to a 50% charge.

Cancellations are only deemed valid if received via email.

The full cost of a booking is incurred if a cancellation is received less than 24 hours before the Event.

The Artist will be under no obligation to refund any money paid up until point of cancellation as the booking fee and all deposits are non refundable.

The client can cancel a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for at the agreed rate.

Cancellations by the Artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the performance of their obligations and where no other suitable alternative can be given - will result in a refund to the client, minus the initial deposit. No further compensation will be offered.

If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the makeup artist every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the makeup artist’s part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.

Changes to event dates are subject to availability, and an amendment charge may be made at the discretion of the Artist.

5. Responsibility of the Client

The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The Artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition.

The Artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.

 

6. Photography

The client agrees that the Artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artist’s website and social media pages. Any objections should be made in writing to serenaarisMUA@gmail.com

7. Travel Expenses

The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the Artist as agreed at time of booking.

This is to include, should it be required, any parking charges.

Travel within a 10 mile radius of NR20 will not be subject to any charges. Mileage outside of this radius is charged at a rate of £0.45 per mile.

For bridal makeup, travel costs to and from the venue will be added.
